Delete your account
Deleting your Nature Recorder account
You can permanently delete your account and everything we hold for it at any time, straight from the app. Deletion is immediate and can't be undone.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open the Nature Recorder app.
- Tap the account button (the circle in the top-right corner).
- Scroll down to Delete account.
- Tap "Delete my account & data" and confirm — you'll be asked twice, to make sure it's really what you want.
That's it. The app will carry on working with a fresh, anonymous account.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account is erased immediately:
- your account itself (name, avatar and any linked email);
- all your wildlife sightings, including any photos and videos you attached;
- your volunteer check-ins and hours history; and
- your recording-event team memberships.
Nothing is kept back — once deleted, your records also disappear from the community map and listings.
Can't use the app?
If you no longer have the app installed (or you're asking on behalf of a child in your care), email us at hello@mosslanefarm.org.uk from the address linked to the account — or with enough detail for us to find it (your farm name in the app, e.g. "Clever Lamb") — and we'll delete it for you.
